Well it finally happened... My ancient washing machine finally gave up the ghost this morning. Approximate age 25 years old at best guess considering that it came with the house when we bought it. Of course it died full of water, soap and clothes just to add insult to injury.
Now the hunt begins looking for a replacement. Ugh!! When it rains it pours it seems...

Oh, drat! I don't know what I would do without my washer. We were given a hand-me down front loader after our washer went kaput. It only took two days for the replacement to arrive and it was a long two days. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThey never die empty.
ReplyDeleteI love my LG Steam Washer and dryer if it's at all helpful.
They are red.
Mine broke in May, but hubby was able to fix it. I did have to make one trip to the laundry mat though. That was an interesting experience. LOL Hope you find a new one fast!
ReplyDeleteHey, it sounds like yours is almost as old as mine! lol I hope it's not contagious, I have a load going right now!
ReplyDeleteWhen my mom's old machine died, it died full of wet towels. By the time she got a new one, she had to throw all the towels away because they were sour and covered in mildew. I'm really hoping mine doesn't decide to follow suit.
ReplyDeleteI've given you the Happy 101 Blog Award on my blog for being one of my top commenters for January. Stop by & pick it up when you get a chance.
The nerve of that machine to die full of stuff. Geesh.
ReplyDeleteYou notice how that always works?? Water lines break in the middle of a shower...ovens break in the middle of roasting a turkey... and washing machines break in the middle of a load full of needed clothing.. BASTARDS!
ReplyDeleteThere must be a conspiracy, I have read at least three other blogs just today where the washer died. Here's hoping you replace that bastard with a front loading washer that is all shiny and new.
